Engineering Machinist Apprenticeship

Description

An engineering machinist apprenticeship at AM Hydraulics.  The company was established in 1978.  WE are fully ISO9001 accredited.  WE employ a highly skilled and experienced team in our large engineering workshops based in the West Midlands.  Equipped with a wide range of machinery, both CNC and conventional, we can accommodate your machining requirements.  We specialise in Turning, Milling, Drilling, Boring and Grinding of small to very large components.

A general machinist is required to:

• Set up, operate and adjust settings according to the machine being used.
• Produce and edit programmes on the CNC machines
• Measure and check components being produced
• Make adjustments to the equipment / programmes to ensure components meet the required specification
• Load and prove machine tool programmes
• Load and unlaod machine tools
• Tooling selection
• Documentation
• Work in a safe and proper manner
• Any ad-hoc duties as required
