Engineering Software Developer

Description

Due to departmental expansion an exciting opportunity has arisen for an engineering software developer. The role centres on the development of Windows desktop software to support manufacturing projects in a variety of industries including aerospace, gas turbine and gear grinding.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Develop Windows desktop engineering software to support and enhance manufacturing projects
• Work closely with the Engineering Software Manager and a team of production engineers to ensure the software solution meets process specifications
• Maintenance of existing C# Software Applications, including bug fixing and adding new functionality
• Support existing customers in the use of new and existing software
• Visit customer facilities, both in the UK and Europe, to allow analysis, design and installation of Windows based engineering software

Skills and experiences:

• Ideally qualified to degree level in a software or engineering discipline
• Working knowledge of C#
• Experience using MS Visual Studio
• Knowledge of CNC Programming and Machine Tool Controls would be very advantageous
