Your Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Apprentice to join our Finance department based at our Doncaster site, reporting into the Company Secretary. The role will be 37 hours per week on a Monday - Friday shift pattern.
The purpose of the role is to undertake a variety of duties alongside credit control & purchase ledger whilst working towards a recognised apprenticeship at AAT level 2.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answering the telephone in a professional and helpful manner
  • General administrative duties including typing correspondence by e-mail and letter
  • Entering data onto internal systems with a high level of accuracy
  • Scan, register, match & code supplier invoices
  • Send out remittance advice
  • Assist in payment of employee expenses
  • Work with colleagues in Customer Service to respond to customer queries in a timely manner
  • Contact debtors both UK & overseas to chase overdue balances

Qualifications and Other Requirements

  • It is essential to have good IT skills
  • A background of working in a similar office environment
  • A customer focused/customer service background
