Recruiting now for an experienced Installations Engineer – Installation Team on a permanent basis covering sites across the North of England, predominantly the M62 corridor.

The role supports our four branches in Brighouse, Sheffield, Leigh and Hull.

This Installations Engineer will carry out compressed air, nitrogen and water pipework as well as ductwork/ventilation system installations and at a variety of manufacturing and construction sites. This role will often be required to work outside in all kinds of weather or in buildings without heating or air conditioning.

Key tasks as an Installations Engineer – Installation Team would include:

  • Being the initial point of contact with the customer at commencement of works and for the duration of the project.
  • Liaising and co-ordinating with the Installation Project Team and the customer to deliver projects and installations, completed on time to company standards and customer requirements.
  • Leading onsite works and as required, liaising with the Installation Project Team providing project updates regarding ongoing onsite works.
  • Co-ordinating works with the installation team, customer and sub-contractors.
  • Assembling and installing pipework ringmain systems, drops and valving arrangements for compressed air, nitrogen and water systems.
  • Installation of compressor ductwork systems, extraction and ventilation ductwork systems.
  • Preparation of work areas.
  • Measuring, cutting and preparing pipework to be installed.
  • Installation and preparation of pipework/ductwork bracketry and supports.
  • Undertaking positioning and mechanical installation of compressors and associated pipework/ductwork systems and bypasses etc.
  • Disassembly and removal of redundant pipework/ductwork systems.
  • Loading and delivering materials to site.
  • Using a variety of tools both hand and power.
  • Clearing of work area on completion of works.
  • Completing onsite delivery and handover of projects.
  • Utilising MEWPs / powered access equipment, ladders and erecting scaffolding and other structures.
  • Compliance with responsibilities as laid down in the company’s Health, Safety and Environment Policy and as explained in Site Health and Safety rules/procedures.
  • Contribute to improving the business, protecting and enhancing the reputation of the company, by putting forward new ideas and, when requested to do so, implementing change.

Skills required:

  • On site pipework/ductwork installation experience.
  • Awareness of Health & Safety regulations
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Proficient IT skills.
  • Excellent organisational and onsite project co-ordination skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively individually or part of a busy team and work under pressure
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Good command of the English language (written and spoken)
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and targets
  • Full clean driving licence

Working hours: 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday
