E3 Recruitment are proudly supporting a globally operating organization with the recruitment of a Project Manager based at one of their Service Centres in the heart of West Yorkshire.

The successful Project Manager can look forward to joining a business employing over 15,000 people at 180 facilities spread across the world, this engineering giant are a true powerhouse in their specific fields and offer world-class products and services to customers operating in a variety of industries, including Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Chemical Processing, Food/FMCG Manufacturing.

Reporting to the Customer Service Lead, the Project Manager will be responsible for the management of assigned projects in support of the objectives of the company’s overall business plans and strategies to ensure satisfaction of the customer.

Main tasks and responsibilities of the Project Manager:

  • Overall responsibility for all assigned project deliverables including but not limited to hardware, financial and commercial outputs, quality documentation, dispute management, customer satisfaction and on time delivery
  • Ensure that the sales team are adequately supported and that tenders are prepared in a timely and professional manner
  • Evaluate customer requirements to ensure that the company is able to satisfy customer needs in terms of both service/product and pricing for tenders
  • Overall responsibility to ensure that tenders meet company commercial guidelines and have the necessary sign off in accordance with the delegation of authority guidelines
  • The Project Manager will have overall responsibility for project profitability.
  • Ensuring that assigned projects are launched in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensuring that timely client and internal kick off meetings are arranged and that all relevant project handover documentation is completed and distributed to relevant personnel
  • Preparation of quality documentation and customer quality plans
  • Work with procurement and operations to ensure that refurbished and bought out parts are available to suit project timeline
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers in order to reduce commercial risk and to maximise future business opportunities
  • Attend client site meetings as required and provide pro-active communication on job status and requirements to meet customer’s expectations.
  • Production of reliable invoicing and gross profit forecasts for assigned projects

To be successful the Project Manager will have:

  • HND in engineering or business discipline and/or relevant experience within related industry
  • Experience of managing complex projects
  • Experience of contract negotiation in a commercial environment
  • Supplier/Customer management experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP or other ERP system
