For our branch located in Coventry, we are looking for:

Project Manager

Duration: Permanent

Place of work: FANUC UK, Coventry.

The ideal candidate will reside no more than 30-40 miles from the Coventry Office.

 

Your tasks will include:

• Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with senior management.

• Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.

• Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.

• Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.

• Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.

• Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.

• Controls project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contracts.

• Prepares project status reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.

• Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

Your profile:

• Completed studies in Engineering

• Knowledge of machining processes

• PLC and CAD / CAM knowledge

• Excellent problem analysis, resolution and documentation skills

• Flexible and resilient, able to adapt to an always changing role

• Determination to achieve job completion and flexibility to adapt to changing requirements

• Fast learner and able to learn ‘on the job’

• Self-motivated, able to work individually or as part of a team

• Project Managers must demonstrate knowledge in civil engineering principles, practices and methods, environmental regulations, engineering project management methods, workplace safety, budgeting, employee supervision and personnel management.

• The successful candidate should be competent in handling simultaneously occurring tasks, smaller projects and have excellent written and oral communication skills.

• This career requires analytical and mathematical skills, quick thinking, and a solid understanding of the main principles of engineering.
