Role description and responsibilities:

Filtermist is a Telford based company that supports our customers by providing them and their employees with clean air solutions, which is at the heart of our brand. This role is to work as part of a  team of projects engineers, to manage your own contracts, including your input into the technical design of systems and execution of contracts with the aim to maximise profits. There will be a requirement to attend site as and when necessary to survey jobs, kick off new jobs and attend client meetings. This position is based in Southern England but there may be the need to travel elsewhere in the country which may include some overnight stays.

Project Management

  • Complete on-site technical surveys & complete technical drawings for issue
  • Liaise with the Client to plan working activities
  • Compile material lists for ordering purposes
  • Coordination of deliveries to site
  • Site management
  • Health and safety on site management including composition of risk assessments and method statements
  • Attending site progress reviews
  • Competing contract process documentation
  • Compilation of O&M manuals
  • Completing handover to Client
  • Act as the point of contact for all participants
  • Checking off invoices to pass to accounts & dealing with invoice queries
  • Liaising with engineers on site
  • Arranging/off hiring of access and lifting equipment to and from site when required

Experience:

Not everyone can be a Projects Engineer so to be seriously considered for this role, please have the following:

 

Experience: 

  • Formal engineering qualifications at HNC or above or relevant industrial experience
  • AutoCAD 2D knowledge required with experience of ductwork drawings preferred
  • LEV System knowledge preferred
  • Ductwork design experience preferred
  • Good level of project management required
  • Health and safety knowledge
  • Organization and time-management skills
  • Experience of producing RAMS preferred
  • A strong personality and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Highly organised and self-motivated
  • Ability to prioritise workload and be prepared to react quickly to ensure all deadlines are met
  • A positive, enthusiastic outlook is required

 

Characteristics: You should be self-sufficient and self-motivated. We require the individual to have a positive attitude, with a high attention to detail and a strong ability to work under pressure. It’s also a developing role, so you must be able to accept and act on feedback about your work.

Desirable but not essential:

It would be ideal if you have experience or understanding with the following.

  • CSCS Card or other Health and Safety certificate
  • BHOS 601-, 602 & 604-LEV Inspection, Design and Commissioning Qualifications
  • IPAF Scissor Lift / Boom certificate
