Description
Rutland Plastics is seeking a Technical Project Coordinator to support the Design & Project Engineering department with the New Product Introduction process and day-to-day running of the department.
The successful candidate will be a natural communicator, with exceptional organisational skills.
Reporting to the Technical Manager the key responsibilities for this role are:
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the Design and Project Engineering department.
- Assisting the New Product Introduction (NPI) process from order to completion.
- Keeping track of project progress and updating timing plans.
- Ensure that the company’s project management processes are implemented on all projects.
- Maintaining liaison between project stakeholders, including suppliers and customers.
- Create and update standardised documents and processes.
- General administrative duties.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date work schedule.
- Support the quoting process of new products and mould tools.

- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Able to demonstrate a logical approach to problem-solving.
- Positive outgoing personality, able to motivate others.
- Data management, including the use of ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Computer skills for writing reports, reporting progress and communicating by email.
- Proven team player.
- A strong customer focus, and the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and external suppliers.
Desirable Criteria
- Technical background.
- An interest in engineering or new product introduction.
- Experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- A basic understanding of the injection moulding process.
- Experience using CAD software.
- Project management experience.
