Tecnical Support Engineering Apprenticeship at Cooke Brothers. Established in 1872, Cooke Brothers is a leading UK manufacturer specialising in the design, development, manufacture and supply of High Performance Architectural Hinges, Architectural Hardware, Glass Door Products, Shelving Strip, Special Hinges for specific or bespoke applications and many other products. Cooke Brothers has a long established history and reputation for supplying hinges for standard and bespoke applications, at home and overseas. They pride themselves on service and having long-standing relationships with their customers worldwide
We are looking to recruit two apprentices to become our future Engineering Technicians. During their foundation year (Level 2) they will work in a variety of departments including:
- Production (presswork, sheet metal, light assembly)
- Engineering Services (tool assembly, machining, grinding, wire-eroding)
- Technical Sales (CAD design, master data, customer enquiries, product design & development)
- Quality Engineering (measurement studies, calibration, problem solving, procedures, data analysis)
At the end of the first year, they will choose (with our guidance) one of three apprenticeships to complete for their level 3 training:
- Product Design & Development Technician
- Technical Support Technician
- Metrology Technician
- During this time, they will work part-time in the associated department with daily, weekly and monthly tasks and areas of responsibilities that both further their understanding of our products and processes and advance our company
