Are you an experienced CNC Machinist looking for an exciting opportunity? Dartmouth Associates, a leading manufacturing company based in Great Barr, is seeking a skilled individual to join our team and operate state-of-the-art CNC Machining Centres.

Job Description:

We are looking for a talented individual who can programme, set and operate CNC Machining Centres with expertise in Fanuc and/or Heidenhain control. Experience with Mazak control is advantageous but not essential. As part of the role, you will be responsible for programming offline and independently adjusting programmes at the machine control if necessary. Your ability to produce finished components from engineering drawings/files through to inspection readiness will be crucial, requiring you to identify suitable tooling and work-holding methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programme, set up, and operate CNC Machining Centres with precision and efficiency.
  • Produce high-quality components based on engineering drawings/files, ensuring inspection readiness.
  • Identify suitable tooling and work-holding methods for each project.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members in a calm and efficient manner to achieve project goals.
  • Actively solve problems and contribute to process improvements.
  • Mentor and develop the skills of apprentices.

General Requirements:

  • Possess an engineering background or relevant experience in an engineering environment.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of creating and working in a safe environment.
  • Have knowledge and experience in materials handling.
  • Experience with ISO accreditation is preferred.
  • Maintain a clean work area and adhere to high cleanliness standards.
  • Approach tasks with flexibility and adaptability.
  • Possess clear and effective communication skills.
  • Be a dependable and reliable time-keeper.
  • Work well with others in a collaborative manner.
  • Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Assist fellow employees when requested.
