THE OPPORTUNITY
A precision manufacturer that continues to grow and invest is looking for an experienced CAD Engineer to carry out multiple functions.
•The role consists interpreting engineering drawings, to produce new parts
•Drawing new parts in 3D on Solidworks/Radan
•Nesting and programming for CNC Punch and lasers on Radan
•Collaboration with production to ensure no delays
•Producing jigs for new products
•Enhancing existing products to help ease production times
•Liaising with Commercial to discuss orders, and potential issues
•Checking others work, to help reduce reworks.
Opportunities to advance are available and additional training on other software like Press Brake programming and Fibre Laser Welding programming will be given to the right applicant.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
You will be self-motivated able to carry out multiple roles, have a high attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly with members of the team.
Must have or be able to:
•Have a minimum of 3 years experience with either Solidworks or Radan 3D
•Be able to read engineering drawings in both first and third angle, and have the confidence to produce new parts from them
•Be technically minded and be confident with maths and basic calculations
Experience in the following would be an advantage
•Experience with 3D printing would be desirable
•Experience in a manufacturing business
