This Engineering Manager position can offer progression into an Operations Manager capacity in the long-term, with the successful Engineering Manager overseeing a Maintenance Supervisor/Leader and department, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Projects and Integrity Team and an Engineering Stores Team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a progressive company structure and culture, engaging to progress their career in line with a growing company’s strategy.

Based in Darlington, County Durham, the successful Engineering Manager will be joining a multi-billion-pound chemical manufacturer operating on a top-tier COMAH site. This company has consistently hit ambitious growth objectives, recently making a multi-million-pound investment on site with the addition of a new manufacturing plant. Ongoing investment into the site is a staple, with upcoming projects sanctioned throughout 2021, 2022 and onwards.

Responsibilities of the Engineering Manager;

  • Engaging in a personal and professional development plan to aid in progression through the company as an Engineering Manager.
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance to industry regulations, such as COMAH.
  • Leading the site teams, prioritising workload in line with site requirements.
  • Delivery of approved site capital projects against agreed budgets and timescales.
  • Overseeing the development of the CAPEX budget.

To be successful in this position as Engineering Manager candidates will have a strong experience as a leader, ideally in some form of Engineering Manager capacity, within any of the following disciplines; Chemical/Process, Mechanical or Electrical. Experience working within the Chemical or Process manufacturing sector is also advantageous.

Alongside the salary and progression programme, the Engineering Manager will receive a competitive benefits package.
