SYSPAL LTD are currently looking for an experienced Goods Inwards Operative to join their team. SYSPAL LTD is the market leader in the innovation, design and manufacturing of stainless steel and aluminium equipment for hygiene and quality orientated industries.

Key roles and responsibilities

You will be tasked with ensuring all incoming stock is received, rigorously checked and booked in. You'll report to the Goods Inwards Manager and will be responsible for the following:

  • Safe handling by all parties on receiving of goods
  • Assisting with unloading and unpacking, identifying discrepancies at any stage of the process
  • Checking of the relevant supplier paperwork prior to booking in
  • Segregating all non-conforming items and reporting back to your Manager
  • Supplying the shop floor with the relevant goods to help maintain production efficiency
  • Liaising with sales and purchasing departments, relating to purchase orders and customer orders

 Skills, experience and requirements

  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings for first off inspection
  • Previous experience of goods inwards and updating company inventory
  • Current FLT licence
  • Annual Stock take experience
  • Previously worked in a Manufacturing Setting
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent time keeping
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work alone or as a team
  • Flexibility of working hours when required

  • 40 hours basic week
  • Monday – Thursday – 07.00 – 16.30 & Friday – 07.00 – 11.00
  • You will be expected to work additional hours as necessary to complete duties
