About the Role 

When you start your journey with us as a Machine Operator, your career begins with a comprehensive training  program, designed to help you confidently operate an automated mesh welding machine. 

What Will Your Responsibilities Be: 

  • Ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to all times. 
  • Operating fully automated high-speed resistance welding machinery. 
  • Undertaking machine setting adjustments to ensure optimum efficiency, achieving targets and  deadlines. 
  • Carrying out complex machine set-up, according to detailed machine drawings. 
  • Working with your wider team to solve problems and improve ways of working. Manufacturing and quality checking, to ensure all products meet tolerance specifications. Ensuring housekeeping standards are always maintained. 

Our starting salary of £30,000 per annum, increases to £31,600 following completion of your training. About you: 

We’re looking for someone with: 

  • A strong commitment to safety and product quality 
  • Experience using hand tools (e.g., Allen keys, hammers, screwdrivers). 
  • Computer literate at basic level 
  • Able to work rotating early, late, and night shifts. 

If you also have the following, that’s great, but we can train you in these areas if not: Basic understanding of drawings and measurements.

Mesh Operative  Forklift truck (FLT) license. 

  • GCSE in Maths and English grade C or above or equivalent 
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or production, even better if you have experience of welding  automation or mesh making in another sector.
