About the Role
When you start your journey with us as a Machine Operator, your career begins with a comprehensive training program, designed to help you confidently operate an automated mesh welding machine.
What Will Your Responsibilities Be:
- Ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to all times.
- Operating fully automated high-speed resistance welding machinery.
- Undertaking machine setting adjustments to ensure optimum efficiency, achieving targets and deadlines.
- Carrying out complex machine set-up, according to detailed machine drawings.
- Working with your wider team to solve problems and improve ways of working. • Manufacturing and quality checking, to ensure all products meet tolerance specifications. • Ensuring housekeeping standards are always maintained.
Our starting salary of £30,000 per annum, increases to £31,600 following completion of your training. About you:
We’re looking for someone with:
- A strong commitment to safety and product quality
- Experience using hand tools (e.g., Allen keys, hammers, screwdrivers).
- Computer literate at basic level
- Able to work rotating early, late, and night shifts.
If you also have the following, that’s great, but we can train you in these areas if not: • Basic understanding of drawings and measurements.
Mesh Operative • Forklift truck (FLT) license.
- GCSE in Maths and English grade C or above or equivalent
- Prior experience in manufacturing or production, even better if you have experience of welding automation or mesh making in another sector.
