Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and drawing a wide variety of structures, parts and assemblies. Coordinating the processes between order receipt and delivery to customer for assigned projects and providing general support to facilitate successful operations.
Responsibilities
- Use CAD software (AutoCAD and Autodesk Advance Steel) to design and generate engineering drawings to enable fabrication of metal structures, parts and assemblies.
- Collaborate and communicate with suppliers to ensure all project deliverables are achieved
- Provide technical support to fabrication teams during manufacture and installation processes ensuring all requirements and specifications are understood.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and company / industry best practices in all drawings, including ISO9001 and EN1090 requirements
- Purchase materials required for projects achieving best price and availability
- Assist in operations activities such as RAMS, audits, paperwork traceability, delivery notes, time management, health & safety etc.
- Share knowledge and best practices, making suggestions for improvement.
Qualifications
- Required: 5+ years experience in AutoCAD 3D software and/or other engineering drawing tools.
- Required: Good knowledge of welding / metal fabrication / steel erecting
- Preferred: Previous experience of Autodesk Advance Steel software
- Preferred: Experience working in a draughtsperson, engineer or design role
