TIG Welder/Fabricator

SYSPAL LTD are currently looking for an experienced TIG welder / fabricator to join their team. SYSPAL LTD is the market leader in the innovation, design and manufacturing of stainless steel and aluminium equipment for hygiene and quality orientated industries.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have 2 years’ experience in TIG welding and fabrication of stainless steel and aluminium materials. MIG welding is advantageous but not essential to the role.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Fabrication and welding of bespoke stainless steel and aluminium products using sheet, plate, tube and machined components (1mm – 30mm)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to determine best fabrication and welding methods
  • Adhere to the companies policies and procedures
  • Maintaining the company’s high standard of housekeeping to ensure that the work area is organised, clean and hazard free
  • Involvement in the continuous improvement of the manufacturing processes and products
  • Safe operation of lifting equipment
  • Safe operation of machinery, hand tools and power tools
  • Using your own initiative to solve and overcome problems
  • Undertake any other reasonable duty requested from the company

 Skills

  • 2 years TIG welding experience (essential)
  • 2 years fabrication experience (preferred but not essential as training is provided)
  • MIG welding experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to work alone or within a team
  • Flexibility of working hours when required
  • High attention to detail and quality conscious
  • Excellent time keeping
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of the quality requirements expected within the food and beverage, pharmaceutical or veterinary industries is desire

 Hours

  • 40 hours basic week
  • Monday – Thursday – 07.00 – 16.30 & Friday – 07.00 – 11.00
  • Overtime may be required to meet customer expectations
