Last year, Engineering specialists ENCO Ltd moved into their 12,000 sq. ft. workshop with 3 high bay specification, two ten-tonne and a five-tonne crane. The Elland-based firm then took on several new employees throughout 2020 and are hoping to expand into bigger offices in 2021, continuing their company growth.

ENCO Ltd is a family run business with over 10 years’ experience in Pipework, Fabrication and Engineering. Having been started by founders Jamie Moody and Joanne Hart from a small unit in Greetland in 2009, the company has since grown exponentially and now employs over 40 staff – helping to provide fantastic career opportunities for the people of West Yorkshire.

Some of ENCO Ltd’s clients include ICS Cool Energy, Veolia and Kemira; manufacturing and installing large fabrications, skids, tanks, and vessels in major sites across the UK and internationally, including prestigious locations such as Somerset House in London.

Supporting the local community has always been of great interest to the decision-makers at ENCO Ltd, which has been evidenced in various contributions throughout the years, including sponsoring the local cricket league, Halifax Rugby Team, Overgate Hospice and doing an annual Christmas food bank donation.

Both regionally and nationally, ENCO Ltd has built up a reputation for excellent pipework and general fabrication and welding skills. Their current workshop provides a three high-bay specification with further upgrades planned, providing the capacity for heavy fabrication work all welded in accordance with BS EN and ASME standards.

Speaking on the importance of supporting employees, company director and owner of ENCO Ltd, Jamie Moody, said, “Although we are at an exciting stage of development and expansion, we have never lost sight of our core family values. We are determined to create a positive environment for all our employees. We have a very low turnover of staff; this is testament to their commitment to the business as well as our investment in employee engagement.”

Offering some practical advice on how firms can keep build and maintain strong relationships throughout the workforce, Jamie went on to say that, “We work closely from the management down to the shop floor with regular communications and team-building exercises. I am from the local area and feel privileged to be able to offer employment locally to people from the area. There are big plans being drawn up for Elland which we are very excited about and hope to be able to support within our own growth plans.”
