Mastering Virtual Networking at Made in Group Events

One of the biggest benefits of being a member of Made in Group is that it gives you the opportunity to connect with business leaders from throughout the UK manufacturing industry. But how can you most effectively capitalise on this opportunity?

Over the last few years, Made in Group have put serious investment into making virtual networking events as beneficial and engaging as possible to aid Midlands and Yorkshire based members in acclimatising to a more digital way of working.

After signing up for a Virtual Breakfast Morning, members can also see who else is attending, and select which individual themed Zoom “breakout room” they will be put in for this event. This feature is vital for preparing for your networking event.

To do this, you simply need to login to your account, click on the “Events” section, choose an event, and then hover over attendees icons in the “Sessions” section. Alternatively, you can go to the list of “Attendees” and “follow” or message them through the platform - either before or after.

This feature not only gives you the autonomy to hand pick who you will be networking with and regarding what topic, but it also gives you an insight into which companies will be attending the event, meaning you can do any research you may wish to prior to the Breakfast Morning.

Made in the Midlands and Made in Yorkshire members can book onto all scheduled events for the next year. This includes a range of events types - Made Angels, Made Live TV: the Editors Pick, Made Masterclasses, in-person networking events, and Backing Britain 3.0 Virtual Breakfast Mornings - for cross-region networking.
